The birth of a Gackt-style "suspicious[1] and beautiful Kenshin" ・・・ NHK Taiga Drama 「風林火山」 

Singer Gackt (age undisclosed), who is making his drama debut in NHK's Taiga drama 「Fuurin Kazan」 (Sundays at 8:00) starting next year on January 7, revealed his costume on November 30 (see photograph).

Long hair falling down his back, white skin. This is the way it is if a feudal warlord, Uesugi Kenshin, met with Gackt. A suspicious[1] and beautiful Kenshin is born. 

"(You are) charmed by the way he disciplines himself and sacrifices his wants in order to fulfill the wish to calm turbulent times," this is the appeal[2] Gackt gives to Kenshin. He says, "Kenshin has a charisma that's accompanied by madness. The most enjoyable part was thinking about how to convey and express on the screen his overwhelming[3] beauty and madness." Middle-aged and older fans of historical dramas may raise objections to this unique portrayal of Kenshin. "I want them to enjoy the Kenshin that I am able to portray," he says, intending to stick to the Gackt-style.
