HYDE, K.A.Z and Gackt compete for the most beautiful costumes on Halloween

   VAMPS hosted a Halloween event “NIGHTMARE OF HALLOWEEN” for two days on October 30 and 31 at Zepp Tokyo. Other than VAMPS and MONORAL who performed on both days, Tommy heavenly6 and Acid Black Cherry also made guest appearances on the 30th, and Tsuchiya Anna and BREAKERZ on the 31st.

  DAIGO (from BREAKERZ) was the emcee on the 31st and VAMPS took the stage as the last act for the night. Based on the concept of the revival of the dead from a cemetery, HYDE came out wearing a blood-stained wedding dress while K.A.Z cosplayed as the main character from the movie “The Crow” during the concert.

   For the encore, Yasu (from Acid Black Cherry) who performed the night before joined all the other artists on stage as they held a special session. Gackt also came as a special guest and appeared on stage in a military uniform.

   Gackt, who came on stage following DAIGO’s announcement, exchanged a warm embrace with HYDE and revealed their close friendship. After that they did a cover of “Shout at the devil” by Motley Crue with HYDE on vocals, K.A.Z on guitar and Gackt on drums.

  Gackt used to play the drums before he became a vocalist, but this was the first time he has played the drums in a publi show. The variety of programs, as well as the cosplays by the performers and the special surprise, left the fans greatly satisfied. Only VAMPS could have organized such a grand Halloween event, and the night ended in a fever of excitement.

  VAMPS will release “VAMPS LIVE 2008”, a DVD containing their nationwide Zepp tour on January 7 next year, as well as their second single in the spring. Gackt will also release his new single Jesus on December 3, and after that he will start “Gackt Live Tour 2008-2009 Requiem et Reminiscence ~Saisei to Kaikou~”, his first nationwide concert in 3 years.
