Internet article translations

This is a translation of the BACK STAGE section from Gackt Live Tour 2005 DIABOLOS ~哀婉の詩~ website. The site was taken a few months after the tour ended. All the posts come with a picture as well, but I will not be posting those pictures on this website (since we've made a rule about not posting any pictures from the internet which are not scanned by ourselves). However, you can read the translations on my livejournal, where I've kept all the original pictures that come with the backstage blog entries.

All the blog entries are translated by Sweiled. I have decided to follow the original sentence structure, so you might need to read the entire paragraph to understand the meaning of a particular sentence.

1. Please DO NOT take my translations or publish them elsewhere without my permission. Please kindly link back if you want, but DO NOT copy and paste them.

It’s one day late… (^_^;)

The new album DIABOLOS was finally released yesterday.

Everyone, have you listened to it yet?

At last, Gackt Live Tour 2005 DIABOLOS ~哀婉の詩~ will start tomorrow; the first live will be in 戸田市文化会館. [1]

Those who are coming to the live, listen to [the music] carefully (lit. brightly/clearly) and let (your emotions) rise (with it).★★★(^ω^*))((*^ω^)

It is a real pity for those who are not going and those unable to go, ( but) please listen to the CD and immerse yourself in the “Gackt world”.

And today is the release date of “素晴らしきかな人生3”!!

We’ll have to check it out too~+゚*。:゚+(人*´∀`)+゚:。*゚+.

DIABOLOS Tour Goods

The Tour Goods page has been uploaded.

As usual, there are a lot of wonderful goods available. (^ω^*))((*^ω^)

I’m thinking of explaining (lit. introducing) all the goods one by one on this blog in the future. ☆

9.28神奈川県民県立ホール(Kanagawa Kenritsu Kenmin Hall)

The first performance was over.

Today we’ll be going to the same hall for the second performance.

The hall happens to be near a famous sight-seeing area in Yokohama.

Those who are coming today, do check out the night scenes on your way home.

You might have +゚*。:゚+ an even better +゚:。*゚+. memory of the live then.

↑ The schedules of the events are also (written) clearly on the leaflets found in the hall. (* >ω<)

It is only natural of course, but (seeing that) made me a little happy ☆☆☆

I didn’t expect it to be (written) so clearly. (*^^)v

10.1千葉県文化会館 (Chiba-ken Bunka Kaikan)

It was a fine day on Saturday; and I went to Chiba-ken Bunka Kaikan!! [1]

The imposing triangular door [2] in the main entrance of the big hall took me by surprise.

I tried to take a clear shot of the audiences’ face as they were walking out of the hall after the performance.

Everybody seems very satisfied with the performance

and looking at that makes me feel happy. [3] *ポッ(・´з`・)(・´ε`・)ポッ*゜

Today is the live in Omiya Sonic City Hall.

It’s about time I head out for the hall.

NOTE:
[1] This is his fifth live on 1st October 2005.
[2] 三角扉 I believe it could also mean three doors? Because I’ve never seen a triangular door before… @@
[3] He said, “When I look at the customer’s satisfied expression, コッチまがなんだか楽しくなれました”. I have no idea what kocchi ma ga nan da ka means, so I’ve taken the whole phrase out for now. If anyone knows what it means, please help me out.

Gackt’s cell phone

Today is the first performance in Sendai Sunplaza.

I think the live should be coming to an end right about now.

That picture above is of Gackt’s personal cell phone.

Before this, it was the cell phone strap from last year’s tour goods,

but now it’s the key holder from this year’s tour goods

that he has attached to his cell phone.

Seems like the one that Gackt likes is the BLACKSTONE version!?

Everyone, why don’t you try attaching

your own favourite (Gackt) key holder to your cell phone as well?

This here is abuse of authority!

(Our) hair grows (long) every time we are on tour.

But because we have hairstylist(s) (in our team), we got them to cut our hair for us. This is Manager Y (getting his hair cut).

Actually, we had our pants shortened for us as well.

Posted by Tour Staff: 04:57 PM

Note: Please note that it wasn't the hairstylist who helped them shorten their pants, but probably someone from the costume department. They were talking about "staff" in general for the last sentence. ^^

Notes:
[1] "mi o ouwareru": could mean either that they were ousted, or that they ousted themselves from the world. Either way, they were driven out as a result of those outside forces that were trying to use their powers and that were afraid of their powers.
[2] "yami no jyuunin": literally, resident/inhabitant of the dark. The phrase "Darkside Inhabitants" is used as a label for Gackt's h-darts jewelry line.
[3] "horobi": ruin; perish; destroy.
[4] "chi o nokosu": save the blood, in the sense of setting it aside or leaving it behind.
