Kingdom Rock Show (September 27, 2003)
Before the performances, there’s a short of clip of an interview with
Gackt where he says they (Gackt and his band) are a rowdy bunch of guys, but
when they get on the stage, they are serious about what they are doing. They
don’t do anything half-heartedly, and they really want to reach the
audience that has come to watch them. Gackt wore the long white coat from
the Jougen no Tsuki tour for this performance. Gackt and GacktJob perform
Lu:na first. Gackt and several of the masked dancers (some are dressed in
black and others are dressed in white) from the tour do their choreographed
dance moves. In the middle of the performance, there is a fight scene where
the dancers pull out swords, and Gackt even does some tumbling moves. It is
an all-out performance, just like he did during the tour.
Next he performs Fragrance. He starts out standing on the stage, surrounded
by a few of his dancers, frozen in place. He moves his hands beautifully in
the air, and appears to awaken and then control the masked dancers. During
the middle portion of the song, he swings his arms up and down, as if he is
flying, continues to move his hands around, and then whispers a line over
and over. The floor of the stage is covered in thick, rolling fog, and at
times it appears as if the dancers are swimming in the fog. As the song ends,
the dancers disappear one by one until Gackt is alone on the stage.
The final song Gackt performs is Speedmaster. Before Gackt comes out to sing,
GacktJob jams together for a little bit. Gackt then comes out and shouts to
the audience, and does some call-and-response with them. Then Speedmaster
kicks in, and columns of thick smoke shoot into the air all across the front
of the stage. He does a lot of intense headbanging during the song, and falls
to his knees several times. There is also some mild fanservice with Chacha.
It’s an extremely hot and steamy performance, like Speedmaster always
is!

Music Fair
December 4, 2004
This was Gackt’s first appearance on Music Fair. He says that he has
never watched Music Fair because he doesn’t have a television at home.
He talks a little bit about performing in movies, and his plans for Christmas.
He says he has plans to go to Korea for Christmas. He performed Kimi ni Aitakute
wearing a black leather jacket and black leather pants. His hair is dark and
parted on the side. He is sitting alone on a stage with soft dark blue lighting,
and he’s accompanied by a piano that plays on its own. He also performed
Juunigatsu no Love Song wearing a long black coat, accompanied by GacktJob
on acoustic instruments. There are white “snowflakes” swirling
in the air throughout the performance.

In this episode, Gackt first talks about how he doesn’t like women who
fix their make up in front of people. He also says he prefers that they don’t
wear lipstick because it leaves a mark when he kisses them. He also doesn’t
like when a woman orders dessert after saying that she is full and can’t
finish her meal. He feels bad for the people who made the food! He performed
Metamorphoze and Redemption, wearing the black and red Dirge of Cerberus outfit
he wore during the DIABOLOS tour. His hair is in cornrows and he also has
the curly extensions he wore during the tour. The stage was lit up with blue
and white lights. At the end of the Redemption performance, the background
turns a warm red and orange, and smoke billows up in the back.

Music Fighter
May 13, 2005
In this short segment, Gackt talks about how he designed sunglasses that won’t
fall off. He demonstrates by doing some headbanging and showing that the sunglasses
don’t fall off because they hook inside the top of the ear. Gackt and
GacktJob performed Black Stone wearing the outfits they wore in the PV. Gackt’s
hair is short, but he has long braided extensions in his hair, clipped back
with a silver clip. The stage was decorated with white stone-looking walls,
and the floor was made up of squares that lighted up with different colors.
There was also smoke that came blowing up out of the front of the stage.

When Gackt first comes out, he says he is really happy because he gets to
finally meet the female host, Ayako Kisa. This episode is about love, and
they read letters sent to the show asking for advice. In the first letter,
a fourteen year old boy says he has been dating a girl for three months and
wants to kiss her, but is afraid of being rejected and doesn’t know
when the right timing is to kiss her. Gackt’s advice is, “Just
hurry up and do it!” He says when he wants to kiss a girl, he’ll
just kiss her. Then Ayako asks how his first kiss was like, and Gackt says
it was when he was five or six years old, and he kissed a teacher that he
thought was really pretty. He says the teacher had a boyfriend that picked
her up, and at that time Gackt really wished he could be bigger and not be
a child. The second letter was from a twenty-eight year old man; he has been
married for two years, was living happily with his wife, but then found out
his wife was being unfaithful for a year. They talked and she stopped seeing
the other man. He still loves his wife, and can’t imagine getting a
divorce, but wonders if things could still go well after her unfaithfulness.
Gackt first says he is irritated by the guy. He says he should just forgive
her. He believes that if the woman started liking another guy, then it’s
him (the husband) who is at fault. Next the guy host asks what type of girl
Gackt likes. Gackt says someone who has a nice smile, speaks well and has
a beautiful voice. He then comments that Ayako has a nice smile and he wished
he had met her earlier, before she got married. He continues, saying that
if she were single, he would definitely make a move on her!

Musix (April 30, 2002)
Gackt appeared in a segment of this show called Bar Woodstock, hosted by
the comedy duo, キャイーン. These are the same two who appeared on Hey!Hey!Hey!
with Gackt in 2006, Udo and Amano. On this show, Udo is playing a bartender
and Amano is a regular customer. Gackt orders grapefruit juice and sits at
the bar with Amano. Udo opens a can of beer which sprays all over Gackt. Gackt
and Amano talk about how they met and how they go driving together, and they
once went to Umihotaru because Gackt likes the blue lights they have there.
At the end, Udo makes a special drink for Gackt. Gackt performed Wasurenaikara
wearing the black and white leather jacket he wore in Moon Child. His hair
was straight and blonde. In the middle of the song, gold confetti shoots out
and comes raining down. Gackt looked and sounded fantastic in this performance.
