• He loves spicy food, especially kimchee

• He doesn't like sweet things.

• He loves Xiao Long Bao and can eat up to 60 pieces at one go!

• He loves rice and noodles but doesn't eat carbo because he thinks it's unhealthy. That doesn't mean he completely restrains from eating any carbo food though. In fact, he would eat carbsat times, as a 'reward' to himself for doing something good.

• He cannot stand the smell of durian (and probably the fruit itself too).

• He drinks vegetable juice for breakfast every day.

• He only sleeps a few hours a day (but he actually takes naps in between breaks and you often see pictures of him dozing off backstage)

• He wakes up at 5 a.m. in the morning (sometimes earlier!) to start training.

• Judging from comments and short stories left by various people, he loves to steal food off people's plate during mealtimes.

• He hates cockroaches

• He is a 467 year old vampire (as of 2007).

• He was born in Okinawa, and has lived in Kyoto before.

• He has an older sister who used to live with him.

• His father objected and was unsupportive of his choice of career at first, but acknowledged his talent eventually.

• He has been friends with You, his guitarist, for 14 years (as of 2006).

• He gives onyx bracelets to all GacktJob members (band members, dancers, and tour staff) to keep them safe.

• The tattoo on You's arm seen in the Black Stone PV was actually a fake one drawn by Gackt, as we later found out in Platinum Box VI.

• His house does not have windows and the rooms are lighted by candles. (However, bits and pieces of comments left on TV shows have led us to believe that he has since moved out of said house)

• There is a fountain in his bedroom and a trampoline in his house.

• He cannot stand sunlight, which is why he always wears sunglasses. (Doesn't mean he hates the sun though!)

• He never goes anywhere without his sunglasses, and even appears on TV shows with them on. But he will ALWAYS take them off when he performs.

• He created his own line of Darts sunglasses because he got sick of his sunglasses slipping down every time he bends down.

• He doesn't like children, unless they are girls.

• He hates the use of improper Japanese (including slang and the like), especially by women.

• He is very particular about manners and using proper language.

• He turns any game or activity into a batsu-game, where the loser has to do some usually embarrassing act. He and GacktJob members often play all sorts of batsu-games during tours. Gackt lost once and had to don a cat outfit (for U+K) and go outside to play with the fans for a bit.

• He loves to watch movies, both English and Japanese, and once said that Be With You (今、会いに行きます) was a classic love story.

• He is crazy about Gundam.

• He speaks Japanese, English, Korean, Chinese and French fluently. French director Luc Besson was so impressed with Gackt and his voice (Gackt greeted him in French!) when they first met that he asked Gackt to do the voiceover for Malthazard in the movie “Arthur and the Minimoys”.

• Gackt is an excellent horserider. He opened the Diabolos Tour Final at Tokyo Dome in 2006 by riding a horse around the tour hall. After seeing Gackt's riding skill from that tour, the director of the Taiga drama Fuurin Kazan offered him the role of Uesugi Kenshin.

• He is an excellent snowboarder and frequently brings his board with him whenever they go on tours and overseas trips.
