Dearest Enlings, Its time for the Spring Contest! :D This time the theme is Gackt Fanfiction. It will be a unique fanfiction contest, where we will test both your story writing and your Gackt knowledge ! Your story must include as many references to a Gackt work as possible while developing a story that still makes sense.

What you CAN use
Any key words from from Gackt’s albums/singles/movies/anime/games/darts/etc. The words must be related to his WORK.
Terms containing more than one word, for example, “Moon Child”, “Todokanai ai to shitteita noni…” will all be counted as one word. You are allowed to play around with the words as well, as long as it’s clear what the original word is. For example, using words like “Moon Children” are perfectly fine. You are not limited to English words either of course. ;) Be creative and try to include as many references to a Gackt work as you can~!


How it will be scored:
• We will count all related words that the judges manage to pick out from the essay and give 1 pt for each. The maximum point you can score here is 30, which means that even if you have more than 30 words, you’ll still be given only 30 points.
• Judges will then mark separately according to Story/Content (50 pts), Originality (10), and Writing style (10).
It will all add up to 100 points. Please note that the focus is still on the story line, and not how many Gackt related words you can squeeze into the story. :D There will be no limit on the length of the story (no minimum or maximum). There will be no restriction on the rating of the fanfiction, but please use your discretion as the winning entries will be made public!


Example passage
"The Moon shined brightly in the sky, and Mars was glowing red. Gackt was walking through the empty grounds when suddenly, a dybbuk jumped out from the shadows. "Jesus...," Gackt exclaimed, as the Minimoy-like creature stared at him with glowing eyes."


Submissions and Deadline: • All submissions must be sent in before 26 April 2009 (Sunday) midnight, Japan time, to be eligible for the points.
• You are required to submit two copies - one with the related words bolded and one without.
• All submissions (links to where the file can be downloaded) are to be posted on LJ which will be screened. Or email Japonais@eiennoyume.com!

Prizes
• All participants will receive 30 PAS points, and as a special bonus, we will give 5 extra PAS points to the first three entrants.
• The top prize will be the GLADIATOR EVOLUTION SOUNDTRACK. (This soundtrack is only sold in limited venues and certain pachinko stores.) and the cow keychain from Hokkaido concert venues.
• 2nd place: $10 gift certificate (choose from YesAsia, Amazon Japan, or HMV Japan) • 3rd place: $5 gift certificate (choose from Amazon Japan or HMV Japan.)
• We will also be giving away bonus PAS points, such as for those with the best story, with the most Gackt-related words (if you have more than 30), etc.!
