Outside Tokyo

La Foresta di Magnifica
This is where the 2005 CM for Takano Yuri was filmed. The church scene where Gackt grabbed Ryoko Yonekura and they ran away from the wedding ceremony was taken here.
It's a 20 minute walk from JR Tsuchiura station on Jyouban line. Alternatively, you can take a bus or taxi from the station.

Lockheart Castle (ロックハート城)
This castle is located in Gunma prefecture. Gackt chose this castle for the tour video that was shown during the DIABOLOS tour in 2005. It's the first European castle ever built in Japan. Other famous artists have also used this castle before.

Akagi Riding Club (赤城乗馬クラブ)
This is the horse riding club that Gackt took Chacha and You to. After spending an entire day learning how to ride a horse, they managed to master it enough to be able to go to Tonegawa, a river near the club, on horseback. Quite an amazing feat! You can see the full video in Platinum Box 7. The club is located in Gunma prefecture.

Tonegawa (利根川)
Tonegawa is the second longest river in Japan, flowing through Gunma, Nagano, Tochigi, Ibaraki, Saitama, Chiba and Tokyo. Check out this map that someone drew! It has the whole list of bridges crossing Tonegawa. Jyoumouoohashi (上毛大橋) is the closest bridge to the horse-riding club based on the map. ^^ And true enough, you can see horses under the bridge! XD

They rode past Tonegawa again when Gackt and Ju-ken went fishing, except that it was much higher up the river this time.

Forest of Stars (発知渓流つりセンター)
Gackt and the band stayed here for the cowboy training program shown in Platinum Box 7. They stayed in the Pegasus Multipurpose Log House for two nights. The site also shows a map of the entire camping ground and it's really big! It also provides foot reflexology if any of you feel brave enough to try that. This camp is located in Gunma prefecture as well.

Hocchi Kenryuu Fishing Center (発知渓流つりセンター)
Gackt and Ju-ken came here by horse after passing the upper stream of Tonegawa and this is where they held the fishing competition. Whoever manages to get 20 fishes first wins; and the loser would have to act as a waiter and serve the others dinner that night. Check out Platinum Box 7 to see who won the competition. ^^

Ca et la Resort Oze (サエラ リゾート尾瀬)
The ski resort that Gackt chose for his annual Dears ski trip event. Dears get a chance to snowboard with him at night and to participate in a sports event the following day. It is located in Gunma prefecture.

Universal Studios Japan
This was the location for a special episode of the television program "Hey Hey Hey". The two hosts went to Universal Studio Japan in Osaka and played various games with a bunch of other artists like Gackt, Every Little Thing, w-inds, MAX, Shimatani Hitomi, and Kiroro. Other than playing games arranged by Heyx3, they also got to go on the ride "Jurassic Park".

Nagahama Ramen Miyoshi (長浜ラーメンみよし)
This was the second food Gackt recommended when he appeared on Hey Hey Hey with Yoshiki. This ramen shop offers unusual toppings for your ramen and is a definite recommendation! They opened a branch in Shinjuku, Tokyo, but that was closed down in less than half a year. It was said that the reason was due to the soup being slightly different from the original one.

Suzu Jinja (須須神社)
As some of you might recall, Gackt visited a few shrines while on the DIABOLOS tour in 2005. This is one of them. Suzu Jinja is situated in Suzu in Ishakawa prefecture.

Shuri Castle (沖縄首里城)
In 2004, Gackt performed Another World in front of Shuri Castle in Okinawa during a special Hey Hey Hey program. The castle was formerly built by the Kingdom of Ryukyu in the 15th and 16th centuries, and was destroyed during the war in 1945. Intensive restoration work was done on the castle site and it was finally reopened a few years ago.

Tokyu Resort Town Hamanako (東急リゾート浜名湖))
Gackt came to this resort to learn wakeboarding on one of his off-days.
More screencaps are available in our Clip Section.

Nakagusuku Castle ruins
Gackt did the photoshoot for the DIABOLOS photobook at the Nakagusuku castle ruins in Okinawa. Some of the photos were also taken in the ruins of the abandoned hotel behind the castle. This website has information on the location of the ruins and admission fees, as well as the history of the castle and pictures of the ruins.
